Gwen & Alvin
November 21st - 23rd, 2025
This is the thing we’re planning…
Let’s start at the beginning…
Gwen’s Story
Always curious and creative, Gwen approaches life with a thirst for learning. Gwen was born in Torrance, California in March 1984. She is the daughter of Alfredo and Irais and is the youngest of five siblings. She grew up in Chino, California, and while her roots are planted in Southern California, her heart and soul are truly explorative. This adventurer, independent and bold woman, has traveled the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. Through laughter and a deep capacity for love, Gwen cherishes her family and focuses on personal growth, always striving to become the best version of herself. She moved to San Diego in 2016 and now this is her home with Alvin. Gwen can’t wait for all the adventures their love will bring.
Alvin’s Story
With a warm spirit and a playful heart, Alvin was born in Las Piñas, Philippines, in July 1981, the son of Rodolfo and Evangeline. His early childhood, filled with family warmth and laughter, provided a vibrant foundation before his journey across the Pacific to San Diego at the age of four. Embracing his new home, Alvin grew into a young man who cherishes both his Filipino heritage and the opportunities of his adopted land. He is the oldest of three brothers, has a deep love for nature and the outdoors, and while not necessarily a thrill-seeker, he possesses a keen intellect and a caring spirit. Excited to see what the future holds, Alvin looks forward to celebrating this new chapter with Gwen.
Our Love Story
Gwen and Alvin's story began in the midst of the pandemic, a serendipitous connection sparked on Hinge in September 2020. Their first date, a simple boba meetup, quickly blossomed into something special, and just two months later, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Their relationship deepened as they explored the world together, from the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) to the sun-kissed beaches of Tulum and the cultural richness of Mexico (Puebla, Veracruz, Oaxaca). International adventures followed, including Colombia, Bali, and a special trip to Alvin's homeland, the Philippines. Sharing their lives with their two beloved dogs, Jax and Meeko, they made their home together in January 2023. Their journey together has been filled with love, laughter, and a shared passion for exploring both the world and each other.
